Â
Portland State had runners at first and second with one out in the seventh with the tying run at the plate. Unfortunately, they were unable to execute a double steal with Smith being cut down at third for the second out of the inning. The batter then struck out for the final out of the game as the Vikings fell by the final 8-5 margin.
