BOISE -- Portland State's game against Utah State for Saturday has been set to start at 12:55 p.m. PT/1:55 p.m. PT. The Boise State field crew is still working on the field, but first pitch should be right around that time.

The Vikings and Aggies were supposed to play at 9 a.m. PT, but it was then pushed back two hours and then delayed indefinitely. About 11:30 a.m. MT, Boise State gave word that the PSU-Utah State game would start at 1:45 p.m. MT. Even though there is no rain in the area, Boise State's home complex, Mountain Cove Softball Field, has taken on a considerable amount of water over the past 48 hours and the Broncos coaching staff and game operations people have spent several hours drying up standing water and putting diamond dry in muddy spots.

The Vikings are in Boise for the SpringHill Suites Invitational. Yesterday, they rallied to tie the game in the top of the seventh on Alicia Fine's two-run homer, but the Broncos ended up with a 6-5 victory on a walkoff solo home run in the bottom half of the inning.

PSU is 5-1 all-time against the Aggies, having won the past five. Last year in Tucson, the Vikings earned a 5-2 victory in eight innings over Utah State.
