PORTLAND, Ore. - After finishing the indoor season with two conference champions, the Portland State track and field team will embark on its journey through the outdoor season, beginning at the Northwest Conference Preview March 12 at Pacific (Ore.). Over the last two seasons, the Vikings have sent eight individuals to the NCAA West Regional and two individuals to the NCAA Championship.

Three of last year's four regional qualifiers, Tony Crisofulli, Karene King and Joenisha Vinson, return to the team this season and will be looking for their second-consecutive bids. Sophomore Geronne Black is the Viks lone returning conference champion this year, having won the 100-meters last year.
