Matt Dacey has spent the last two seasons as a part-time assistant within the Portland State women's soccer program. In that time, the Vikings have finished first and second in the Big Sky Conference, including a record-setting 2013 season that saw the team go undefeated in Big Sky play and set program records for shutouts and goals-against average. 

Dacey also currently serves as the technical director for BSC Portland, the latest stop in a distinguished youth coaching career. Dacey coached the U-13 Boys and Girls within BSC Portland before he became technical director, and has extensive international experience at the youth coaching level. Dacey has toured Germany, Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic with ODP teams in the past, and has served on the Region I Boys ODP and Region IV Girls ODP coaching staffs, as well as the state ODP and coaching education staffs for three different state associations.

Additionally, Dacey has coached in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and the Elite Clubs National League. Dacey also served as the director of player development for the Virginia Rush Soccer Club, where he oversaw numerous youth programs, including the college advisory program that, in six years, sent over 180 graduates on to all levels of college soccer.
 
Dacey holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) national ‘A’  license, as well as a USSF national youth license.
