BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Played his freshman season at Western Washington where he earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors… was All-GNAC honorable mention and a two-time GNAC Player of the Week… he averaged 12.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game… shot .448 from the field, .342 from three-point range with 51 made threes, and .859 at the free throw line… started 14 of 29 games… in his starts averaged 17.6 points, 3.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals.
 
Originally from Seattle, Johnson attended Renton High School… went to Phoenix Prep as a senior… played club basketball with Beauchamp Elite, Prodigy Basketball and Renton Select… a two-time league Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior and earned second team All-State honors as a junior… as a senior at Phoenix Prep he averaged 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists… a three-time team captain.
