Will Graves joined the Portland State Basketball Coaching Staff in the summer of 2026. Graves comes to Portland State after spending two years as a graduate assistant with the University of Florida basketball program, where he earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management.
He earned a degree in Sports Management at Gonzaga, where he was a member of the nationally-prominent Bulldogs program, in 2022. Graves played a fifth season at Southern Oregon in 2022-23, earning honorable mention All-Cascade Conference honors.
“We excited to add Will to our coaching staff and program,” said Coburn. “He is coming from a national-championship level program at Florida, and played in one at Gonzaga. He was highly recommended by Todd Golden and has great ties to the state of Oregon. Will has a very good basketball mind and is an excellent player development coach. Our players will really enjoy working with him.”
A member of a basketball family, Graves’ father, Kelly, has been the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at University of Oregon for the past 12 seasons. Will graduated from South Eugene High School in 2018.
