Portland State Men's Basketball has signed Nehemiah Pollard for the 2026-27 season as announced by Head Coach
Jase Coburn.
Pollard, a 6-4 guard, is a senior transfer from Western Washington University. He averaged 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for the Vikings this past season, earning Great Northwest Athletic Conference honorable mention recognition. Pollard shot .492 from the field and .769 at the free throw line while making 38 three-pointers in 28 games.
"Nehemiah does a lot of the things we value at Portland State. He plays the game with a tremendous amount of physicality and is as athletic a player as we have had," said Coburn. "Nehemiah has continuously gotten better over the course of his career and is hungry to be a Division I player. I am really excited about the things he can bring to our program."
Pollard is a native of Tacoma where he prepped at Mount Tahoma High School. He was an All-Conference player at Mt. Tahoma and a member of the 3A Pierce League Championship team in 2022. Pollard spent two seasons at South Puget Sound Community College. As a sophomore, he was named first team NWAC West Region and was an NWAC NABC All-American after averaging 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and making 73 three-point field goals.
Pollard is the fourth player to sign with Portland State and he joins a program that won the Big Sky Conference regular season championship in 2025-26 (20-11/13-5) and is led by Big Sky Coach of the Year
Jase Coburn.
