A pair of Portland State football players have been named to the Preseason All-Big Sky Conference team as released today by the league at the Big Sky Football Kickoff Event in Spokane.
 
Junior tight end Tanner Beaman and sophomore safety Isaiah Green were each selected to the 37-member team. They should be featured players on each side of the ball for the Vikings in the 2025 season.
 
Beaman, a 6-3, 230-pounder from Vancouver's Skyview High School, comes off a strong sophomore season in which he caught 21 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown in 10 games. Beaman was named second team All-Big Sky Conference and earned Academic All-Big Sky honors as well.
 
Green, a 6-1, 185-pounder from Oxnard, CA, is the top returning tackler for the Vikings. As a redshirt freshman, he made 50 stops, broke up three passes and intercepted a pass. He earned Academic All-Big Sky and Academic All-District honors.
 
The Vikings will open preseason practice on Thursday at Stott Community Field in preparation for the earliest start to a season in school history – an Aug. 23 game vs. Tarleton State at Hillsboro Stadium.
