Portland State Men's Basketball had an excellent season on the court in 2024-25, compiling its best record in seven seasons and best Big Sky Conference finish in 13 years. Turns out, the Vikings had just as good a season in the classroom, earning the prestigious NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for having a team GPA above 3.0. The Vikings also had four individuals named to the NABC Honors Court for GPAs above 3.2. They were guards
Jaylin Henderson,
Qiant Myers and
Sebastian Tidor, as well as forward
Terri Miller Jr.

Those honors were part of an excellent academic year overall for the Vikings. The team had a combined GPA of 3.17. Five Vikings earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors during the season. They included Henderson, Myers and Miller, as well as
Kelcy Phipps and
Hayden Curtiss.

On the court, Portland State completed a 19-13 season under Head Coach
Jase Coburn. The Vikings were 11-7 and placed third in the Big Sky Conference.
Over 2,400 players from all levels of competition earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.
