Portland State Basketball got great news from the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee on Sept. 3 as Viking big man
Tre-Vaughn Minott was granted an additional year of eligibility.
Minott, the 2024-25 Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year, will man the middle once again for the Vikings in 2025-26. He comes off a season in which he averaged 7.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, blocked 54 shots, shot .669 from the field and led the Big Sky's stingiest defense.
Minott, a 6-9 center from Montreal, joins
Terri Miller Jr. and
Jaylin Henderson as returnees in the starting lineup. Miller Jr. was second team All-Big Sky Conference, averaging 12.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and shot .515 from the field. Henderson averaged a team-high 13.0 points and made a team-high 56 three-pointers, earning honorable mention All-Big Sky.
Those three led a Viking team that was 19-13 overall, 11-7 and third place in the Big Sky Conference, in 2024-25. PSU returns seven players from that roster and has signed eight newcomers.
