BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Portland State men's tennis team concluded its weekend with a 6-1 loss to Montana State on Sunday at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
With the loss, the Vikings dropped to 4-11 on the season, while Montana State improved to 3-16. Senior Hubert Theriault was the lone Viking to secure a victory, winning at the No. 2 singles spot.
The Bobcats claimed the opening point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and then earned five straight-set wins in singles play. Theriault, however, triumphed in a three-set battle against Andrew Stewart, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Portland State will be back in action on Friday, April 4, when they face Seattle U at 9:00 a.m. at the Amy Yee Tennis Center.
