The Big Sky Conference Football Kickoff event takes place this Sunday and Monday at Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane. All 12 league teams will be represented for various media and promotion activities. Head Coach Bruce Barnum will be accompanied by senior quarterback Dante Chachere and senior defensive end Kennedy Freeman as they represent the Vikings.
 
The weekend officially begins on Saturday, as the league hosts its annual Big Sky Football Youth Clinic from 2-3:30 p.m. at North Central High School. Clinic participants will be instructed by student-athletes from the Big Sky's 12 football teams.

Saturday evening will feature the second annual Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m. from the Northern Quest Resort and Casino with a ceremony honoring the 2024 Hall of Fame class. The ceremony will air on ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m.

On Sunday afternoon, the conference will release the Big Sky Preseason Coaches and Media polls and the Preseason All-Big Sky Conference team. Student-athletes will also take part in promotional and media activities for the coming season.
 
The Big Sky Conference Kickoff Show takes place on Monday on ESPN+ from Northern Quest with live coverage from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Coach Barnum will be interviewed live at 9:56 a.m. Chachere and Freeman will be on at 10:03 a.m. They will also take part in other media activities and one-on-one interviews.

Portland State Football begins preseason practice on Aug. 1 and will open the season at Washington State on Aug. 31.
