Vikings Add Transfer Jaylin Henderson For 2024-25 Season

Portland State Basketball Coach Jase Coburn has announced the signing of Jaylin Henderson to a grant-in-aid agreement for the 2024-25 season.

Henderson is a 6-3 guard who played at Louisiana Tech last season. He will be a senior transfer on the Vikings team. Henderson played in 29 games with four starts for the Bulldogs, averaging 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14 minutes per game. He had games of 16 points at Colorado State and 24 points against Lyon College.

"Jaylin is a dynamic, electric athlete," said Coburn. "He has the ability to be an explosive scorer and the potential to create havoc on defense. We are looking forward to the passion and energy that Jaylin will bring to our program."

Prior to playing at Louisiana Tech, Henderson attended Seward County Community College. As a sophomore, he averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Originally from Wichita, KS, Henderson prepped at Wichita West High School.

Coburn has added seven newcomers to the Viking team for the 2024-25 season. PSU returns five letterwinners and one redshirt. PSU was 17-15 last season and placed sixth in the Big Sky Conference.
