Connor Drinkwine Signs With Vikings Basketball For 2024-25

Portland State Basketball has added another player to its roster for the 2024-25 season as Head Coach Jase Coburn has announced the signing of Connor Drinkwine to a national letter of intent.

Drinkwine is a 6-5 guard who comes to PSU from Skagit Valley College. A junior-to-be, Drinkwine led the Cardinals in scoring last season at 17.4 points per game. Most significantly, he shot .516 from the field, including 111-222 from three-point range (.500), and .881 at the free throw line. Skagit Valley was 26-6 on the season.

"Connor can really shoot the ball. He is a very good catch-and-shoot guy, but can also shoot it on the move," said Coburn. "He can be a very dangerous weapon for us, whether it is in transition or playing through the post with other guys, or running him off screens. We had a need to upgrade our shooting and he was a 50%-from-three guy."

Drinkwine attended Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, WA and was an All-South Puget Sound League performer in basketball. He began his collegiate career at Northwest University, an NAIA program in Kirkland, WA, where he averaged 9.6 points per game.

The Vikings have now signed six newcomers for the 2024-25 season. Portland State returns five letterwinners and one redshirt from this past season. PSU was 17-15 during the '24-'25 season.
