The back-and-forth continued into the fourth, as Portland State answered with a two-RBI double from
Emily Johansen and an RBI single from Lopez to take a 5-3 lead. A third home run from Chong in the bottom of the sixth cut the Vikings' lead down to one. However,
Olivia Dean tacked on an insurance run for the Vikings in the top of the seventh to extend the lead back to two.

Viking starter
Allicitie Frost capped her complete-game performance in the circle by shutting down three straight Wildcat batters to end the game. Frost allowed just six hits while striking out five on the way to her third win of the year.
Â
The scoring started quickly in game two, with both teams scoring in the first inning. A
Bailee Noland single in the top of the first got the Vikings on the board before the Wildcats tied it in the bottom half of the inning. The Vikings reclaimed the lead in the third when
Logan Riggenbach scored Lopez with an RBI double to left field. Weber State scored the next three runs, while holding the Vikings scoreless for the remainder of the contest to secure the win, 4-2.
Â
Portland State out-hit the Wildcats 11-6 but failed to capitalize with runners on base, stranding 13 in the loss.
Â
Stealing two bases in the series finale, Dean set a new program record for stolen bases in the DI era with 42.
Â
The Vikings will return home next weekend in search of their third-straight conference series victory when they host Idaho State (April 14-15) at the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.
