HONOLULU, Hawaii  – The Portland State women's tennis team fell to Hawaii Pacific 4-0 on Thursday afternoon. The Vikings dropped to 7-10 overall, while the Sharks improved to 9-6 on the season.
Capu Sanoner and Masha Ponomareva's doubles play highlighted the day for the Vikings. The duo remained undefeated on the season with a 6-2 win over Marleen Tilgner and Shaline Pipa. The Sharks recorded victories at the two and three spots to secure the opening point.
Adding to their lead, Hawaii Pacific won singles matches at the two, three and five spots all in straight sets to clinch the match. Three matches were left unfinished.
The Vikings will return to action tomorrow (Friday, March 31), for their final match of the week against Chaminade at the Diamond Head Tennis Courts. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. PT.
