PORTLAND, Ore. – The members of the Portland State softball team will be presented their 2021 Big Sky Conference Championship rings at Hillsboro Stadium this Saturday. The Vikings will be honored on the field during halftime of Portland State's football game against Cal Poly. Kickoff is slated for 2:05 pm.
 
The Vikings made history this past May, becoming the first five-seed in Big Sky history to bring home the title, doing so with a 4-0 tournament record. Fifth-year head coach Meadow McWhorter led PSU to its second Big Sky Championship in program history and its first NCAA Regional appearance since 2013. The Vikings had eight players earn all-conference honors and finished the season ranked 13^th in the nation offensively with a .320 team batting average.

There will be 24 student-athletes recognized on Saturday, including nine graduated seniors, alongside McWhorter and assistant coaches Kellie Wilkerson and Iris Rodriguez.
