Northern Colorado has had Portland State's number on the other end this season as well. The Bears have held the Vikings to 60 and 62 points in two meetings – their two lowest point totals in Big Sky Conference play. PSU has shot .373 and .358 from the field in those two games.

Robert McCoy led the Vikings with 16 points, hitting 6-12 shots, and grabbed four rebounds. Holland Woods had 14 points and five assists.

The loss was the Vikings' second in a row and dropped them to 9-13 on the season, 4-7 in Big Sky games. The Bears remain within a half-game of first place at 9-3 and are 15-8 overall.

The temperature at tip-off in Greeley was -1 degree. Portland State's shooting was chilly to match. The Vikings made only 8-27 first-half shots (.296), while the Bears were 13-26 (.500). It was Portland State's lowest scoring half of the season as the Vikings fell behind 41-23 at the break.
