HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Vikings dropped their second game of the day, 10-1 in five innings, to the Rainbow Wahine Friday night at the Hawaii Invitational in Honolulu.

Brianna Celaya tallied two of the Vikings' three hits in the game and scored their only run. It was Celaya's third multi-hit game of the season.

"We hit the ball hard, just didn't find the holes," Head Coach
Barb Sherwood said following the game. "We will look to rebound tomorrow."

Portland State got on the board with a run in the top of the first inning. With two outs Celaya singled up the middle.
Kortney Craker then drove in Celaya all the way from first base with a double to right center.

Craker has now hit safely in each of the last four games. She is hitting .545 (6-for-11) over the four-game hitting streak with three runs scored, two doubles, two RBIs, and a walk-off home run.

The Vikings' lead did not last long as Hawaii plated two runs in the bottom of the inning off Portland State starting pitcher
Kristen Crawford. Crawford gave up a three-run home run in the bottom of the second inning to put the Rainbow Wahine up 5-1 after two complete.

Portland State could only muster three base runners over the final three innings as Hawaii put the game away.

Hawaii added a run on a RBI double in the bottom of the third and four runs, three earned, in the bottom of the fourth off
Karyn Wright, who came on in relief of Crawford in the bottom of the third.

The four-run fourth inning put the Rainbow Wahine up 10-1 heading to the fifth inning. Â The Vikings went in order in their half of the fifth to fall via the run rule.

Crawford picked up the loss in the game, falling to 0-4 on the season. She allowed six runs, all earned, on five hits over 2 1/3 innings. She walked three, hit one, and struck out three.

Hawaii's Kanani Aina Cabrales picked up the win to move to 4-2. She allowed one earned run on three hits over five innings.

Hawaii improved to 8-6 on the season with the win while Portland State fell to 1-11.

Portland State will take on Utah Valley and Hawaii again tomorrow on day two of the Hawaii Invitational.
