Portland, OR - Weber State broke open a tight game in the second half, running away from Portland State for a 73-58 Big Sky Conference victory at the Stott Center.

Wildcat stars Joel Bolomboy and Jeremy Senglin had a big night in the win. Bolomboy totaled 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Senglin hit five three-point field goals on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, the Vikings had their poorest offensive output of the season with only 58 points. PSU was led by Cameron Forte's 18 points and seven rebounds.

It was a tightly contested first half in which neither team led by more than four points for the first 18 minutes. There were 10 lead changes during that span.

When Senglin hit a fast-break three-pointer the Wildcats pushed their edge to 31-25 with 1:52 left in the half. McKay Cannon hit a three-pointer at the halftime buzzer and Weber State had the largest lead of the game at 36-29.

But the run didn't stop there.

Weber State opened the second half on a 13-2 run and finally had control of the game. The lead grew to 20 at 55-35 on a Bolomboy dunk with 11:52 remaining in the game. The closest the Vikings could get after that was 11.

The Vikings were out-classed on the glass by a Wildcats team that featured the nation's second-leading rebounder in Bolomboy. Their work on the offensive glass was the difference as Bolomboy, Zach Braxton and Kyndahl Hall grabbed a dozen offensive rebounds among them, scoring 15 second chance points. Overall, the Wildcats beat the Vikings 46-30 on the backboards.

Portland State's loss drops the Vikings to 2-2 in the Big Sky Conference, 6-9 overall. Weber State remains perfect in conference play at 4-0 and is now 12-5. The Wildcats have won seven straight games.
