LAS VEGAS, Nev.
- The Portland State softball team dropped its final game at the 2015 Wilson/DeMarini Desert Classic Sunday afternoon to Hawai'i by a score of 11-0 in five innings.

The Rainbow Wahine held the Vikings to just two hits in the game. Hawai'i opened the game with five runs, three earned, in the bottom of the first inning. UH scored all five runs on four hits off Portland State starting pitcher Kristen Crawford.

Crawford gave up back-to-back doubles to start the second inning before being lifted for Meagan Hendrix. Hendrix did not have any better luck giving up a three-run home run to the first batter she faced to put Hawai'i up 8-0 through two innings.

Two more home runs in the bottom of the third put the Rainbow Wahine up 11-0. Karyn Wright came on to pitch in the third and got the final two outs before pitching a scoreless fourth inning.

Alex Flores singled in the top of the second and Rayleen Pallan singled in the top of the third for the Vikings' only two hits off Hawai'i starter Kanani Aina Cabrales. Cabrales threw the complete game shutout allowing two hits and striking out four.

Cabrales improved to 3-2 on the season while Crawford fell to 3-2.

The Vikings will have a week off before heading to the Long Beach-Louisville Slugger Invitational hosted by Long Beach State Feb. 27-March 1. Portland State will take on Seattle, Boise State, Utah Valley, UCAL, and Cal State Fullerton at the Invitational.
