Portland, OR - Portland State put up its second 100-point performance of the year, defeating Multnomah University, 100-82, at the Stott Center.

Cameron Forte led the scoring barrage for the Vikings with 31 points. He made 15-26 shots from the field and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in 25 minutes of play. Point guard Calaen Robinson added 13 points, 11 assists and four steals. De'Sean Parsons scored 14 and Bryce White had 13 points for PSU.

From the opening tip, the Lions of the NAIA's Cascade Conference wanted to play at pace and shoot the three-pointer. That suited Portland State just fine as it rolled out to a 31-16 lead less than nine minutes into the game. The Vikings were up 23 by halftime, 57-34.

Forte had 15 points at half as the Vikings shot .548 from the field. Multnomah managed only .342 from the field, hitting 6-23 from three-point range.

Forte scored 12 points in the first six minutes of the second half and PSU's lead ballooned to 34. However, the Lions got hot from outside, scoring 20 points in a row and cut the deficit to 82-68 with 7:16 to play. The Vikings responded with their own run of 13 straight to put the game away.

Multnomah jacked up 40 three-point attempts in the game, making 15. That matched their season averages. However, they shot only 40% overall and committed 19 turnovers.

The Vikings shot .532 for the game and out-rebounded the Lions, 46-35.

Ben Grandle scored 24 points for Multnomah, making 8-13 three-pointers. Thomas Simien had 19 points and eight rebounds.

With the victory, Portland State improves to 3-2 on the season.
