The Portland State track and field teams will be competing in another time zone on Feb. 1-2 when they take part in the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York, N.Y. PSU will be one of more than 100 universities and colleges competing at The Armory.

Last Time Out
PSU had another impressive meet with more records falling for the Viks at the UW Invitational last weekend.
Camelia Mayfield didn't wait long to make her presence known, as she slowly worked her way into the lineup leading up to last weekend and shattered the 5,000-meter record by 22 seconds with a time of 17:43.79.
Amber Rozcicha nearly set her second school record of the indoor season, recording a time of 4:56.07 in the mile run, which is the second-best mark in school history and a qualifying time for the Big Sky Championship. Rozcicha came in fifth in the event.
J.J. Rosenberg continued his improvement in the 400-meter event and nearly set a school-best in his own right. The senior from Pendleton, Ore., recorded the second-best program mark with a time of 48.91, also qualifying for the Big Sky Indoor Championship in Bozeman, Mont. Rosenberg came in second of 36 runners in the event
Dominique Maloney was another Big Sky qualifier in the 400-meter dash coming in fourth in the event and clocking in at 57.00.
Ashley Frazier also competed in the event and took 13th with a time of 57.75. On the women's side
Jazmin Ratcliff impressed in the 60m hurdles, qualifying for the finals and tallying a time of 8.73 and a fifth place finish.

Several Portland State female athletes rank among the nation's elite in several events. Below is a listing of PSU's national rankings:

Big Sky Dominance
The Portland State women's track and field team has been impressive so far this season and the Big Sky has taken notice as the Viks have earned Big Sky Athlete of the Week awards for the last three weeks in a row.
Geronne Black earned the first two with her performances in the 60m at the UW Preview and the Cherry and Silver Inviational, while this last week it was Joenisah Vinson's turn to be honored. She tallied the accolade after her near record-setting performance at the UW Invitational in the pentathlon scoring 3,654 points. Vinson's mark last week is ranked 25
th in the country.
Big Sky Qualifiers
With four meets in the books, the Viks have qualified for Big Sky Championship in eigth women's events and three men's events. Below is a list of Portland State conference qualifiers:
