Another Portland State football player has signed a free agent contract as linebacker Ryan Rau has joined the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rau was signed to the Eagles active roster on June 14 following the team's mini-camp.

Rau was a four-year letterman at Portland State (2008-11). He had 266 tackles in his career and led the team in each of the last three seasons.

Other Vikings from the 2011 roster that have signed with NFL teams are Dustin Waldron (Miami) and DeShawn Shead (Seattle). Myles Wade had also signed with Tampa Bay but was recently released.

Rau, Waldron and Shead join current members of the NFL; Adam Hayward (Tampa Bay), Jordan Senn (Carolina), Julius Thomas (Denver) and Reggie Jones (Minnesota).
