The first spring in the new era of Portland State Football culminates this Saturday with the annual Spring Game in a look that has never been seen before. The Vikings will square off in the Spring Game at Stott Community Field at 1 p.m., but there will be so much more to enjoy.
Â
Saturday's festivities include a pre-game tailgate at the field. Beginning at 11 a.m., fans can enjoy food, music and games to get ready for the main event. Bleachers will be available to fans, seating up to 1,000 people.

First-year Head Coach
Chris Fisk has more than 70 players competing in the spring, including 25 players new to the program for 2026. He has announced the format for the game which will be offense vs. defense with a unique scoring system. The defense will start with 26 points and can score points with fumble recoveries and interceptions. The offense will need at least four touchdowns to try to catch up. There will be four 15-minute quarters with running time. The last two minutes of each half will be normal clock rules. Field position throughout the game will vary and there will be special teams kicking.
Â
Honorary coaches will also be featured with Portland State President Ann Cudd and Peter Stott calling plays at the start of the game.
Â
The post-game will feature an event for all alumni at Hoffmann Hall. It will be a chance to meet and hear from Portland State coaches and players.
Â
The Vikings will have their final full practice on Thursday at Stott Field, running from 8-10 a.m.
