PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland State track and field teams will be traveling in split squads this weekend to the Flowtrack Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. at the Dempsey Indoor facility and to the Boise State Team Challenge in Nampa, Idaho.
 
This weekend marks the final weekend of competition for the Vikings before they turn their focus on the Big Sky Indoor Championship, Feb. 24-25, in Flagstaff, Ariz.
 
The distance squad along with the majority of the throwers and jumpers will head to Husky Classic while the sprinters and a few jumpers will travel to the Boise State Team Challenge.
 
Last Time Out
The last time out for the Vikings they were at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational Geronne Black improved on her Big Sky leading 60-meter dash time, now 7.45, and moved to sixth in the conference with a time of 25.03 in the 200-meter dash. Anaiah Rhodes tied her season best in the 200-meters with a time of 25.59.
 
Joenisha Vinson and Cassandra Sidner set personal bests in the long jump college division with marks of 17-11.50(5.47m) and 16-04.50(4.99m) respectively.
 
Big Sky Qualifiers
Eighteen Vikings have already qualified for the Big Sky Indoor Championships this year in Flagstaff, Ariz. Listed below are the qualifiers and their events.

Top of the Sky
Black (60-meters), King (60 and 200-meters), Maloney (400-meters), Crisofulli (800-meters), Hanchett (800-meters), Lawrence (mile), Vinson (60-meter hurdles) and Sean Mackelvie (triple jump) all rank in the top-five in the Big Sky Conference this season. 
 
Where They Stack Nationally
Three Vikings are ranked in the top-100 for their events in the country so far this season. King is ranked 52nd in the women's 200, Vinson is ranked 99th in the women's pentathlon and Black is ranked 35th in the women's 60-meters.

Following this weekend, the Vikings will turn their focus on the Big Sky Indoor Championship, Feb. 24-25, in Flagstaff, Ariz.
