Natalia Martinez is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Portland State softball program in 2026.

Martinez enjoyed an impressive four-year playing career for the Vikings from 2022-2025. A steady presence at third base, the California native appeared in 166 games, making 148 starts. In 2024, she earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors and was named to the Big Sky All-Tournament Team after helping the Vikings reach the conference championship game. Martinez finished her career with 109 hits, including 10 home runs and 18 doubles, while driving in 70 RBI. Defensively, she recorded 112 putouts and 195 assists at third base.

Off the field, Martinez excelled academically. She was a four-time NFCA/Easton Scholar-Athlete, three-time Academic All-Big Sky selection, and earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2024 and 2025.

Martinez graduated from Portland State in 2025 with a degree in social science.
