Ellie Babbitt is in her first year as Director of Player Development for the Portland State softball program.

A recent Portland State alum, Babbitt had an impressive four-year playing career for the Vikings from 2022-2025. She appeared in 137 games, starting 123, and established herself as one of the top outfielders in the conference. She finished her career with 85 hits, including 18 doubles and four home runs, while adding 47 RBI. Babbitt was a defensive standout in center field, recording 197 putouts, 17 assists, and a career fielding percentage of .973. She didn't record a single error in 2024, totaling 60 putouts and one assist. The Albany, Ore., native earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors in 2025 and was named to the Big Sky All-Tournament Team in 2024 after helping the Vikings to a runner-up finish.

Babbitt was named an Academic All-Big Sky honoree and an NFCA/Easton Scholar-Athlete in 2025. She graduated the same year with a degree in psychology and a minor in business.
