Christy Garrett joined the Portland State staff as an Assistant Media Relations Director in January 2021, serving as the primary media contact for soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis.
Before arriving at PSU, the Portland native spent the 2019-20 season with the University of Denver athletic department. During her time with the Pioneers, Garrett was the primary media contact for women's volleyball and the nationally-ranked women's lacrosse team.
Prior to Denver, Garrett spent one year as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant for LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas where she assisted with media and communications for all 17 sports.
In 2018, Garrett graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. In 2019 she completed her Masters in Business Administration from LeTourneau University.
