A tremendous athlete who came in and made an impact right away as a true freshman... one of the Vikings’ top recruits in the top-ranked NLI class of 2023... rangy and fast, he should play a prominent role in the defense in 2024 and seasons to come.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2023

Had a big true freshman season, ranking second on the team with 69 tackles... played in all 11 games and started the final five at middle linebacker... led the team in tackles twice... made 14 tackles in his first career game at Oregon (9/2), all in the second half... it was the most by any Big Sky player on opening weekend and the most by a Viking in four years... made his first start against Idaho State (10/21), again leading the team with 10 tackles... made eight tackles and a fumble recovery in the Vikings’ Dam Cup win over Eastern Washington (10/28)... had 13.5 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against third-ranked Montana (11/11)... named to the Stat Perform FCS and FCS Football Central Freshman All-America teams.

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered in football at Garfield High School… named Metro League Defensive Player of the Year… first team All-League linebacker… had 93 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, three interceptions, two pass breakups and a sack on the season… was also a first team All-League player as a sophomore and a junior... a three-star rated linebacker.... competed in wrestling and placed second in state as a junior... named Student of the Year as a senior.
