FRESHMAN SEASON • 2023

Took over the free safety role and started all 11 games at the position... ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 51, making four tackles for loss and five pass breakups... made a team-high seven tackles, one for loss and a pass breakup at third-ranked Montana State (9/30)... had a season-high nine tackles, inclduing a pass breakup against Idaho State (10/21)... a redshirt in 2022... competed in two games making one tackle.

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered in football four times, basketball twice and track twice at Servite High School… a three-star safety… led team to a 10-3 record and the CIF Southern Section Championship game… listed as one of the best defensive backs in Orange County by the Orange County Register…had 51 tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception as a senior… two-time second team All-League in basketball.

Son of April and Michael Hurst… has three sisters, Maria, Malia and Mariesa, and one brother, Malachi… interested in majoring in Communications… enjoys video games like Madden and NBA 2k.
