Chris Lehecka joined the Portland State women's basketball program prior to the 2014-15 season as a volunteer assistant. He was elevated to a full-time assistant coach midway through the season.

Lehecka graduated from Kansas State with BS in criminology in 2009 and is currently working on Masters in Organizational Development. Prior to Portland State, Lehecka worked as an assistant coach at Kansas Weslyn for three years.
