2024 OUTDOOR:

Posted his No. 2 mark of the season in the shot put, throwing 40-10.50 (12.46m) at the OSU High Performance Meet (4/26-27)...Competed in his first discus event as a Viking at the Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational (4/6), finishing with a best mark of 94-02 (28.70m)...Led the team's shot putters at the Pacific Open (3/30), throwing 39-00.25 (11.89m)...Added nearly five feet to his collegiate best in the shot put, throwing 41-10.00 (12.75m) at the Electric Forest Collegiate Open (3/16)...Made his outdoor debut at the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker (3/2), finishing with a best mark in the shot put of 36-10.25 (11.23m).
 

2024 INDOOR:

Increased his mark in the shot from his debut a day earlier with a best throw of 40-09.00 (12.42m) at the Portland Indoor Three (2/18)...Made his Viking debut at the George Fox Indoor Meet #2, throwing the shot put 38-11.50 (11.87m).
 

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE:

Three-year letterwinner in football in high school while earning only one letter in track & field…Won the King’s Court award in football for the highest amount of character on the team following the 2022 season…Comeback Player of the Year on his football team as a senior after coming back from an ACL and meniscus tear he suffered as a junior…Won a 1a district 4 team title with his track team in 2023…Spent half a year at Grand Canyon University before joining the Vikings.

Son of Lanny and Gretchen Kipp…Has a brother, Gunner Kipp…Won the Underclassmen of the Year award for his work in science in 2021…Lists video games and lifting weights as hobbies/interests…Hopes to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer…Majoring in applied health and fitness.
