2015 OUTDOOR:Placed sixth in the 10,000 meters at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships (6/25), finishing in 32:28.70...Qualified for the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships in the 10,000m after finishing in a personal-best 31:57.31 at the Portland Track Festival (6/14)...Competed in the 10,000 meters at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/13-16)...Opened the season with a personal best in the 10,000 meters at the Linfield Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker (3/6), finishing in 32:37.55...Also set a personal best of 15:28.61 in the 5,000 meters at the OSU High Performance meet (5/1)...Ran a seasonal best in the 3,000 meters at the Rose City Preview (3/21), finishing in 8:57.25...Finished the 1,500 meters at the John Knight Twilight (4/10) in a seasonal best of 4:12.71.

PERSONAL/MISCELLANEOUS:Son of Jose and Lidia Macias…Has a brother, Vladimir, and three sisters, Jennifer, Kimberly and Leslie…Joins high school teammates Maggie Coleman and Alejandro Cisneros as one of three athletes from Hermiston, Ore., on the Viking cross country and track teams…Plans on majoring in business administration.
