2025 OUTDOOR:

Broke his own school record in the hammer with a throw of 188-09 (57.53m) at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/16-17)...Became the first Viking ever to score in the men's hammer while placing fourth at the conference meet...Also bettered his personal best in the discus at the conference meet, throwing 141-05 (43.11m)...Set a personal best in the discus with a throw of 136-09 (41.68m) at the Pac-12 Open (5/10)...Added close to 10 feet to his seasonal best in the discus with a throw of 131-00 (39.93m) at the John Knight Twilight (4/11-12)...Also threw the hammer 183-10 (56.06m) at the John Knight Twilight...Threw the hammer and discus at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (4/5), finishing with best marks of 179-03 (54.64m) and 121-11 (37.17m), respectively...Broke a 54-year-old school record in the hammer with a throw of 186-10 (56.96m) at the Oregon Preview (3/21-22).
 

2025 INDOOR:

Competed in the weight throw at the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/28-3/1), finishing 19th with a mark of 50-03.25 (15.32m)...Broke a 22-year-old school record in the weight throw with a best mark of 56-00.00 (17.07m) at the Riverfront Invitational (2/7-8)...Won the weight throw with a new PSU best of 54-01.75 (16.50m) at the Portland Indoor 1 (1/26)...Moved up to second all-time in the weight throw with a mark of 53-00.00 (16.15m) while making his official debut as a Viking at the UW Preview (1/17).
 

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE:

Competed for Clackamas Community College during the 2022-23 season and Mt. Hood Community College during the 2021-22 season…Two-time Northwest Athletic Conference champion in the hammer (2021, 2023)…Placed fifth at the NWAC Championships in the discus in 2023…Competed with Super Thrower Track Club from 2018 to present day, training under Scott Skipper, Greg Skipper and Grayson Fleming…Competed in the hammer at the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in 2019.

Son of Darryl and Pinpin Coppedge…Father Darryl ran the 110-meter hurdles for Southern Oregon University and then the University of Montana…Made the honor roll at Cleveland High School in Portland…Awarded the Oregon Seal of Biliteracy in Mandarin Chinese in 2020…Hopes to compete in the hammer for the Taiwanese National Team…Lists art, movies, shows and live music as hobbies and interests…In addition to being fluent in Mandarin, he’s also learning Japanese at PSU and would like to learn French and Portuguese in the future…Hopes to work abroad in the future…Majoring in International Business and Marketing…Minoring in Japanese.
