Harley Montgomery enters his third year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Vikings during the 2024-25 season. Montgomery competed for the Vikings during the 2022 indoor and outdoor seasons across several different events.
Montgomery focused on the longer sprints during the 2022 indoor season, then transitioned to the multi-events during the outdoor season. He completed his first decathlon at the Big Sky Championships, finishing 12th in the final standings.
Montgomery was also part of the program's 5th-ranked distance medley relay team, which ran for the Vikings at the 2022 Big Sky Indoor Championships. The Vikings placed sixth in the DMR at the conference meet, their highest finish in the event since 2012.
