Black joined the PSU coaching staff before the 2014 season, after wrapping up a highly successful PSU athletic career in 2013. Black capped her career with three Big Sky titles in 2013 between the indoor 55 meters, outdoor 100 meters and outdoor 4x100-meter relay. The titles gave Black 10 in her PSU career, including four straight in the shortest distance at the Big Sky Indoor Championships. Black won her last short-sprint indoor title in record fashion, as she broke the Portland State and Big Sky Conference records in the indoor 55 meters in a title-winning time of 6.86 seconds. Black’s time also qualified her for the NCAA Division I National Indoor Championships, making her just the second PSU athlete to qualify for indoor nationals in school history.
