2023-24 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Averaged 9.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and team-leading 2.8 assists in 27 minutes per game... led team in scoring three times and assists 14 times... had 13 double-figure scoring games... missed four games with a sprained ankle... scored 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3-pt, 2-2 FT) with two rebounds in the win at UC Santa Barbara (11/9)... hit the game-winner, a half-court shot at the buzzer, to beat California Baptist, 66-63 (11/17). Scored nine points with three assists in the game... had 10 points (2-4 3-pt FG, 4-4 FT), four assists, three rebounds against St. Thomas (11/19)... hit another game-winner on a driving lay-in with 0.8 seconds left to beat Portland (11/28). Had 18 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 3-pt, 1-3 FT) with four assists in the game... had 13 points (4-13 FG, 3-10 3-pt, 2-2 FT), four assists and three rebounds at San Diego (12/15)... handed out a career-high eight assists in a win at Fresno State (12/18)... scored a team-high 14 points (6-14 FG, 1-6 3-pt, 1-1 FT) with four rebounds and two assists at Northern Arizona (1/18)... went for a career-high 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3-pt, 1-2 FT), six assists and four rebounds in a win over Montana (1/25)... had 14 points (4-15 FG, 4-9 3-pt, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds, five assists and two steals in a win over Northern Colorado (2/15)... earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors following the season.
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Played at South Plains College in Levelland, TX in 2022-23... was the 43rd-ranked player from the JC ranks according to jucorecruiting.com... averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds for the Texans as a freshman.
Played three seasons at Lincoln Park High School in Chicago, then attended Bishop Walsh School in Maryland... was 3rd team All-State in Illinois as a junior, averaging 22.7 points, four rebounds and five assists per game... named to All-NIBC team... originally signed at UTRGV of the Western Athletic Conference in 2021-22, but did not play there.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Mariama and Aminu Habib... has four brothers, Muda, Dee, Aminu Jr. and Myfriend... majoring in Social Science... loves to spend time with his family and with his girlfriend... goal is to play professional basketball.
