Beat Southern Utah's Conor Tordoff 6-3, 7-6 at line one in the Vikings' 4-3 win over the Thunderbirds (4/9)...Won 19 straight sets in singles – 14 at 6-3 or better – from Feb. 5 to April 1...Broke the career record for Big Sky singles wins with his 16th career conference win in the Vikings' match against Weber State (4/1), beating Shao-Po Yin 6-2, 6-3...Beat Idaho State's Sebastian Edin 6-3, 6-4 at line one in the Vikings' 4-3 loss to the Bengals (3/31)...Took over sole possession of the career records for overall singles wins and wins at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Northern Colorado's Alex Vakouftsis in the Vikings' 4-3 win over the Bears (3/26)...Came back from a 1-4, love-30 deficit to win his seventh straight doubles match with Tommy Edwards in the Vikings' win over the Bears...Tied the career records for overall singles wins and wins at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Montana State's Kellen Bates on March 12...Won his sixth straight doubles match with Tommy Edwards with a 6-1 win over Montana State's Alexander Flink and Rok Sitar...Swept his singles and doubles matches in the Vikings' 6-1 loss to Montana (3/10)...Only dropped three games while beating Montana's Yannick Schmidl 6-1, 6-2...Beat North Dakota's Dustin Britton 6-4, 6-2 at line one in singles in the Vikings' match against UND on March 3, and beat Britton and Travis Lau 6-2 at line one in doubles with partner Tommy Edwards...Swept his singles and doubles matches for the third straight match in the Vikings' 7-0 win over Linfield (2/23)...Avenged his one loss from 2016 with a 6-3, 7-6 (1) win over Eastern Washington's Robert Dula on Feb. 17...Also won his second straight doubles match with partner Tommy Edwards at line one with a 6-3 win over Dula and Victor Pereira of Eastern Washington...Beat Seattle's Trenton Nield in straight sets for a second time during the season, winning 6-4, 6-3 in a rematch against the Redhawks on Feb. 11...Also beat Nield and Matt Alderson of Seattle, 6-3, in doubles along with Tommy Edwards...Came back after losing the first set to Hawaii's Felix Albert, 6-0, to win in a match tiebreaker, 0-6, 7-6, 1-0 (2), on Feb. 5...Won both his singles and doubles matches in the Vikings' 4-3 loss to Seattle (1/27)...Swept his singles and doubles matches in the Vikings' 7-0 sweep of Willamette (1/21)...Went 10-4 in singles and 7-3 in doubles during the fall season...Made the final of singles flight 1 at the Dar Walters Fall Classic (10/7-9)...Invited to the prestigious 2016 Oracle ITA Masters (10/13-14)...Upset a Pac-12 mixed doubles team at the Oracle ITA Masters, beating Nick Crystal of USC (ranked 10th nationally in men's doubles) and Denise Starr of Cal (ranked 3rd nationally in women's doubles and 2016 NCAA runner-up in women's doubles), 6-3, along with Idaho's Marianna Petrei...Champion of singles flight A at the Bulldog Classic (10/28-30), where he also won the doubles consolation draw with teammate Tommy Edwards.
2015-16 SEASON (Sophomore):
Named the Portland State men's tennis program's first-ever Big Sky MVP after the season...Also just the second Viking to ever be named to the All-Big Sky first team...Broke the Portland State single-season records for overall singles wins (19), overall singles win percentage (.950), Big Sky singles wins (9), wins at No. 1 singles (19) and win percentage at No. 1 singles (.950)...Led the Big Sky in overall wins and win percentage, as well as wins and win percentage at No. 1 singles...Beat the PSU record for win percentage by close to 300 percentage points, as his .950 win percentage was well ahead of the previous record of .652...Finished the season on a record-breaking 13-match win streak in singles, with 12 of the 13 wins coming in straight sets...Won his record-breaking eighth Big Sky win of the season with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Idaho's Odon Barta on April 2...Broke the single-season wins record with his 16th win of the season with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Sacramento State's Mikus Losbergs on March 25...Also broke the single-season record for wins at No. 1 singles with his win over Losbergs, who had been undefeated in Big Sky play going into the match...Did not drop a game while beating Southern Utah's Dario Rios 6-0, 6-0 at line one on March 11, and also beat Southern Utah's Jacob Nelson and Ben Yeacker 6-1 at line two in doubles with partner Wil Cochrane...Named Big Sky Player of the Week for a second time after going 7-0 between singles and doubles, as the Vikings played four matches in five days from March 4-8...Came back from a loss in a first-set tiebreaker to beat Northern Colorado's Austin Mayo 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3), 6-3...Beat Gonzaga's Hayden Smith in three sets at line one to help the Vikings record just their second-ever win over Gonzaga...Won two straight three-set matches against Northern Arizona's Tim Handel and Seattle's Ian Clare on Feb. 6 and 12, respectively...Won 24 of 25 singles games in two matches against Lewis-Clark State (1/29) and Seattle (1/30), as well as 12 of 14 doubles games with parnter Wil Cochrane...Beat Lewis-Clark State's Quentin Wacquez 6-1, 6-0 at line one...Double-bageled Seattle's Ian Clare to win 22 straight singles games, starting in the first set of his match against Wacquez...Beat University of Portland's Michail Pervolarakis 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at line one in the Vikings' season opener against the Pilots (1/22), avenging an earlier loss to Pervoarlakis in the fall, when Pervolarakis beat Boniel en route to the singles and doubles titles at the Bulldog Classic...Named the Big Sky Player of the Week for the first time in his career after his win over Pervolarakis...Went 5-3 in singles and 2-2 in doubles during the 2015 fall season...Won his first-round match at the ITA Northwest Regional...Advanced to the quarterfinals of the Bulldog Classic singles draw.
AT CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY:
