Lettered in basketball at St. Anthony High School as a senior... averaged 15.9 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, earning first All-Santa Fe Conference honors... led his team to the Santa Fe League Championship and CIF quarterfinals... averaged 12.0 points and 9.8 rebounds during his junior season while playing at Gahr High School in Cerritos, CA... was a member of a CIF Championship team as a sophomore.
