2018 OUTDOOR:
Moved into a tie for seventh all time at PSU in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 46-04.00 (14.12m) at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/8-11)...Placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 44-08.25 (13.62m) at the OSU High Performance Meet (4/27-28)...Placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 42-07.00 (12.98m) at the Pelluer Invitational (4/13-14)...Placed third in the triple jump at the Al Manuel Northwest Dual Invite (3/31) with a mark of 45-03.50 (13.80m)...Made his outdoor debut at the L&C Spring Break Open (3/16-17), competing in the long jump and 4x100-meter relay.

2018 INDOOR:
Competed in the long jump and triple jump at the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/22-24), placing 22nd and 15th, respectively...Tied his personal best in the long jump with a mark of 20-03.00 (6.17m) at the Big Sky meet...Jumped 44-08.00 (13.61m) in the triple jump at the UW Indoor Open (2/11)...Made his Portland State debut at the Idaho Duals (2/2) where he placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 20-03.00 (6.17m).

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE:
Four-year letterwinner in soccer in high school...First-team all-state selection in soccer in 2014...Named his conference's Defensive Player of the Year in 2014...Captained his soccer team as a junior and senior...Competed in track & field for only two years in high school...OSAA 5A state champion in the triple jump in 2015...Earned first-team and second-team all-conference honors in the triple jump and long jump in 2015, respectively...Named the Most Improved athlete on his track team during the 2014-15 school year...Attended the University of Oregon for two years, but did not compete for the Ducks' track & field team.

Son of Symphorose Mageni and Medard Luyamba...Has three brothers, Jordan, Chris and Adan Luyamba, and a sister, Souria Luyamba...Precision  Castparts Corp scholarship recipient...Member of the Black Student Union while at the UofO...Plans on majoring in environmental studies.
