2021-22 • JUNIOR SEASON
Had off-season hip surgery that prevented him from playing until January... averaged 10.2 points and shot .870 at the line... led the team in scoring three times... started first game against Montana (1/20) and led team in scoring with 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-3 FT)... had a team-high 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and five steals against Idaho (1/24)... posted a season-high 19 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3-pt, 3-4 FT) with five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win over Northern Colorado (1/31)... scored 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3-pt, 1-1 FT) with three assists at Montana State (2/10)... matched his season high with 19 points (7-13 FG, 4-5 FT) in the win over Northern Arizona (2/17).
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Played three seasons at UC Davis, starting 51 of 68 games... maintains junior eligibility due to NCAA waiver for student-athletes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.... in 2020-21, started all 14 games he played in during the season... averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals… shot .475 from the field, .382 from three-point range and .844 at the free throw line.... ranked 22nd in scoring, fifth in free throw percentage in the Big West... scored a career-high 21 points against Nicholls State... in 2019-20, averaged 5.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists... his .759 free throw percentage ranked 11th in the Big West... played a key role in all seven of Team Canada’s games at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup... During group play versus Senegal, the Montreal native finished with 18 points, three rebounds and a team-high four assists to help the second-ranked team in the world draw a matchup against France in the quarterfinals... in Canada’s final two games of the summer tournament, Squire finished with 10 points, two rebounds and two steals versus Puerto Rico, which led to Top Performer of the Game honors... In the team’s World Cup finale against Serbia, Squire posted three rebounds and a tournament-high five assists... as a freshman averaged 2.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Played point guard all four years at Wasatch Academy... his team earned a first-place finish at sectionals in 2014.
