Biography
Stepped in right away at the post position and was a force... gives the Vikings the size they need inside... good defender and shot blocker... has a 7’2” wingspan.
COACH GEVING SAYS: “Having the leading shot blocker back is huge for us and our defense. Collin did a good job in the off-season. He probably put on 15 pounds, which will be good for him. Collin has done a good job of working on his offensive skills too. We need him to give us more from an offensive standpoint, get him some more low-post touches and get him to the free throw line more.”
2014-15 • JUNIOR SEASON
Provided the defensive presence the Vikings needed... played in all 29 games, starting 18... averaged 4.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 20.8 minutes per game... led the Big Sky Conference in blocked shots... his 72 blocks were second-most for a season in school history and his average (2.6) was best in school history... shot .467 from the field, .722 from the free throw line... blocked at least one shot in 20 straight games and 26 of 29 overall... blocked six shots in a win over CSU Bakersfield (12/23)... swatted four shots in a win at Weber State (1/22), four in a win at Eastern Washington (2/14) and four in a win over Northern Colorado (2/21)... scored a career-high 10 points with five rebounds, four blocks and three assists in a win over Northern Colorado (2/21)... blocked a Portland State record seven shots, along with nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 FT) and six rebounds against Sacramento State (2/28)... had six blocked shots and five rebounds at Northern Arizona (3/5). BIG SKY TOURNAMENT: Scored five points with a season-high nine rebounds and five blocked shots in 30 minutes against Sacramento State.
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played at Clark College in 2013-14, averaging 17.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots per game for the Penguins... shot .542 from the field and .722 at the free throw line... named the NWAACC West Region Most Valuable Player after leading his team to a 27-2 season, 16-0 in league play... spent his freshman season at Alaska Anchorage in 2012-13... averaged 2.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and one block in 8.2 minutes per game.
Prepped at Jesuit High School where he led the Crusaders to Oregon 6A State Championships in 2010-11 and 2011-12... named first team All-Metro League and second team All-State as a senior... team was 26-2 and ranked 24th in the nation by USA Today.
