Having just completed his seventh season at Portland State in 2011-12, Eric Harper originally joined the Viking coaching staff in June of 2005 under Ken Bone. Prior to coming to Portland State, Harper had spent the previous eight years coaching at Yakima Valley Community College. He also spent four seasons prior as the head women’s coach and one year as both men’s and women’s assistant coach.

A native of Roslyn, Washington, Harper attended Wenatchee Valley Community College before earning a degree in Biology at Central Washington in 1995. He then received a masters degree in Exercise Science in 1997.
