Biography
A very talented player who can score and defend... should be a key player for the Vikings this season if he can stay healthy... brings great size to the wing position... has the versatility to do a little of everything.
COACH GEVING SAYS: “Bryce has to stay healthy. That is the main thing for him. He has really worked hard on his three-point shot in the off-season, and now we look for him to take quality shots and get his percentage up. Bryce is a good defender who can guard anyone on the other team, and he is capable of getting five or six rebounds a night. That is the good thing about Bryce; he can influence the game in a lot of ways.”
2014-15 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in 13 games, starting 10 before back issues ended his season... averaged 9.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game... scored in double figures seven times... led the team in scoring once, rebounding twice and assists four times... had season-highs of 19 points and five assists in a win over Willamette (11/18)... grabbed a season-high eight rebounds at Oregon (11/30).
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played one season at Chemeketa Community College... earned NWAACC South Division Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in 2013-14... averaged 27.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting .531 from the field, .317 from three-point range and .797 at the free throw line.
Attended Benson Tech in Portland where he lettered four seasons... was named the PIL 5A Player of the Year as a senior... the Techmen took third in state.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Andre Otis White and Tosha Nunley... has three brothers, Andre, Brent and Micheal, and one sister, Breeaunna... majoring in Communications... hobby is music... would like to play professional basketball overseas.
