Lettered in football at Crater High School where he was a first team All-Conference offensive tackle and defensive end for three seasons... honorable mention All-State... was named team MVP and Best Defensive Lineman... also won team Most inspirational and the Coaches Award... a scholar-athlete for four straight years... member of a Crater High School team that beat powerful North Medford for the first time in 16 years... selected to play in the Les Schwab Bowl.
