Biography

A big, strong athlete... has excellent run/pass combo abilities... will be in the middle of the competition to start at quarterback.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2025

Played in all 12 games at quarterback with one start... completed 40-69 passes for 551 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions... was second on the team in rushing with 98 carries for 405 yards and six touchdowns... had five games with over 100 yards of total offense despite the lack of starts... completed 9-14 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown against Weber State (10/11)... also rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns in the game for a total of 208 yards and three scores... rushed 11 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns against Montana (11/15)... had a 75-yard run for TD in the game... a redshirt in 2024. 

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football and track three times each at Liberty High School… ranks in the top three in passing yards all-time at Liberty… named the 2022 Newcomer of the Year… in 12 games as a senior, completed 137-216 passes for 2,004 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions… also rushed 101 times for 455 yards and six scores… during his junior season completed 133-228 passes for 1,735 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions… rushed 37 times for 135 yards and three TDs… a state champion in the 100 meters in 2023.
 
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Omar and Christine Smith… has one sister, Lennay… would like to major in Applied Health and Fitness… has plans to become a physical therapist or play professional football.
