Honorable Mention All-Big Sky Conference

A key run-stopper on the Viking defense... PSU has cut opponent rushing yards almost in half the past two seasons as he has been up front... extremely strong player... started at Montana in the spring and made four tackles. 

JUNIOR SEASON • 2019

Part-time starter, but full-time player in the Viking defensive tackle rotation... played in all 12 games, starting four... had a career-high 30 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks... part of a Viking defense that allowed fewest rushing yards in seven seasons... had a season-high four tackles on three occasions, all coming in wins over Eastern Oregon (9/21), Southern Utah (10/5) and Northern Colorado (10/19).

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2018

Moved into a starting role as a sophomore and anchored the middle of the line... played in all 11 games, starting eight... had 24 tackles to tie for eighth on the team... also had 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks... made two tackles for loss, including a safety at Nevada (8/31)... had sacks in wins over Montana (10/6) and Sacramento State (10/27)... career-high five tackles against Idaho State (11/3)... earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2017

Played in nine games at defensive tackle, his first competition since high school in 2013... playing time increased as season progressed... had 17 total tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble... made a season-high four tackles at Idaho State (10/21)... originally signed with Portland State in 2014... was on a Mormon Mission for two years.

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Played at Roosevelt High School… was a PIL Champion in 2013… named Oregon 5A 1st team All-State.. co-Defensive Player of the Year in the PIL... won the 2013 and 2014 Oregon State wrestling championship as a heavyweight… also played four years and was team MVP of the Oregon U20 Rugby Team.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Son of Telisa and Saia Kofe... has five brothers, Haini, Hene, Seki, Joe and Saia, and four sisters, Losi, Nane, Idah and Isa... majoring in Community Health... an Eagle Scout and also served a two-year Mormon Mission.
