BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Played in six games at quarterback last season at Tarleton State …completed 11-of-26 passes for 134 yards, with one touchdown and one interception … rushed for 57 yards on eight attempts, averaging 7.1 yards per rush … had his best game against Fort Lewis, completing 6-of-11 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Played in eight games at Garden City Community College in 2020, throwing for 634 yards on 55 of 111 passing… had four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Spent 2017 and 2018 at Oregon.   

Played his senior season at Lakeridge High School, his junior and sophomore seasons at Mountain View High School, and freshman year at Crook County High School … was a four-year starter and team captain all four years … Completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,249 yards and 15 touchdowns at Lakeridge … Also rushed for 563 yards and eight touchdowns … threw for 262 yards, ran for 256 yards and scored five touchdowns in one game at Mountain View … Named the Intermountain Conference Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore … threw for 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 720 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground that season … also played four years of varsity baseball, basketball and track.

Son of Mike and Merry Irwin… has three brothers, Matthew, Moses and Maverick, and two sisters, Miranda and Mary… his uncle, Kenny Margerum, played wide receiver in the NFL from 1981-87 for the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers … his aunt, Grace Upshaw, competed in the Olympics in 2004 (Athens) and 2008 (Beijing) for the United States in the long jump … Majoring in Business.
