Expected to start again at cornerback and is now one of the more experienced players on the team... a good athlete with good size for his position... transferred in after playing one season at Ohio.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2018
Started nine of the 10 games he was available to play... missed the season finale with injury... played well as the boundary cornerback, making 18 tackles with an interception and two pass breakups on the season... had two tackles and an interception at Nevada (8/31)... made a season-high five tackles at Oregon (9/8).

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2017
Competed in 10 games, starting the last four... began the year on special teams, but moved into a role at cornerback, starting in place of injured Chris Seisay... performed well, making 17 tackles with one for loss and one interception... picked off a pass and had a season-high five tackles in his first start against North Dakota (10/28).

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Played at Ohio University in 2016... competed in five games, making two tackles... was a redshirt in 2015.
Lettered in football at Palm Beach Lakes High School... a first team All-Conference selection... ranked as the top cornerback prospect in Palm Beach County and top 10 defensive back prospect in South Florida... also competed in track and field.

Son of Dr. Kirk and Vivienne Howell... has one brother, AJ, and two sisters, Victoria and Haley... majoring in Geography.
